Japan Tobacco Inc. is the third largest tobacco company in the world. As well as developing a wide variety of domestic and international tobacco brands Japan Tobacco is presently concentrating management resources on the pharmaceutical and foods businesses to become a branding company that provides irreplaceable delight.
JT has won a two-thirds share of the Japanese tobacco market, which is the fourth largest in the world.
In 1999, they purchased all of RJR Nabisco Inc.’s tobacco operations outside the United States to reinforce our foundations for further growth as an international company amid the large-scale restructuring of the tobacco industry.
In April 2007, JT purchased the Gallaher Group
