British American Tobacco is the second largest tobacco company in the world. It is Headquarters is located in London, England. BAT is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index (a share index of the 100 most highly capitalized companies) with a market capitalization of over £37 billion as of March 2007. The business was founded in 1902 and by 1912 had become one of the world’s top dozen companies by market capitalization. The company sells Swedish-style snus, a form of smokeless tobacco that is placed under the lip. Their products include Lucky Strike, Peter Stuyvesant and du Maurier brands.
